Aperitif & Valaisan dish for the briefing with your mountain leader, place and time to be confirmed.
D1 Siviez – Mauvoisin
The cab will take you from Nendaz to Siviez, where you will take the ski lifts to La Chaux! The path goes along the Val de Bagnes facing its guardian, the Grand Combin. It will take you up the hillside to Lake Louvie, then downhill to Fionnay. From there, to shorten your first step, we can arrange for a cab to Mauvoisin.
19 km, +1150m/-1571m, 7h00, or 13,5km, +750m/-1500 for approx. 5h15 walking if cab
Included
J2 Mauvoisin to Brunet
Magnificent stage via the Panossière hut, with an exceptional and glacial panorama at the foot of the Combins. You will evolve in a very mineral and mountainous universe, in particular at the foot of the Corbassière glacier, which you will cross thanks to a rather impressive but completely secure footbridge. The mountain path will finally lead you, on the hillside, to the Brunet hut, not without having crossed a second footbridge just as secure as the first one. You will not get your luggage back for this night in the cabin.
14km, +1290m / -1030m, about 6h.
Included
J3 Brunet – Bourg-St-Pierre
From the Brunet hut, you will take the “Cols Alpins” path, relatively on the hillside, to finally reach the Col des Milles. You will continue on this path which will allow you to make a 180° around the Mont-Brunet, then go down in the Entremont valley to reach Bourg-St-Pierre.
20 km, +980m / -1450m, 6h30.
Included
D4 Bourg-St-Pierre – La Fouly
Depending on how tired you are, the cab (5′) can save you a bit of road for this long stage, at the beginning or end of the route. The itinerary will take you to the Bastillon pass from where you will dive on the magnificent Fenêtre lakes. From there, you will go down through the pastures into the Swiss Val Ferret, to Ferret, then La Fouly, a charming little village lost at the bottom of the valley.
About 16km, +885m/-1210m, 5h30 or 7h (with cab).
Included
D5 La Fouly – Courmayeur
Departure from La Fouly on foot, first of all along the Dranse de Ferret. You will then go up through the alpine pastures of the Peule, to reach the Grand Col Ferret, entrance to the Italian territory. You will then start your descent in the Italian Val Ferret, passing by the Elena hut, with the typical and wild panorama of the southern slopes of the most famous 4000m, including the Grandes Jorasses and the Mont-Blanc. The last few kilometers will be in the valley bottom, on a 4×4 road with little difference in altitude. After a delicious aperitivo in the famous Italian Val Ferret, the cab will take you to your hotel in Courmayeur (10′).
Included
D6 Courmayeur – Aiguille du Midi 3842m – Chamonix
Crossing of the mythical Vallée Blanche, from Helbronner to the Aiguille du Midi. Departure by the brand new panoramic cable car Skyway whose cabins turn on themselves at 360°. Arrived at Helbronner, at 3463m, you will evolve in a grandiose and fantastic glacial universe, as much for its beauty, as for its imposing frame. You will zigzag around the crevasses at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe. You will finish this crossing with a last climb on a snowy and aerial ridge. The group can eventually split up, as we have 3 guides at our disposal, in order to avoid this last passage (lifts in this case). About 5 hours of glacier hiking
